Film Props

BJS offers prop makers the service of polishing and electroplating in copper, nickel, silver, antique silver (looks like gunmetal), gold and rhodium on metal film props.

BJS also is well known for electroforming in copper and silver on to resins and waxes to make component parts or finished props.

Electroformed parts can be worked afterwards in a similar way to cast metals but without the risk of casting porosity, by soldering on other parts or by simply finishing and or plating to the desired final finish.

The big advantage that BJS offers is that coming from its background as top end silversmiths it is used to aiming for perfect surface finishing, which of course is necessary when parts are magnified on to today’s giant cinema screens.
